The Diplomatic Corps of Guyana

The Diplomatic Corps of Guyana is a voluntary organization whose membership is made up of the various foreign missions and international organizations with a permanent presence in Guyana. The organization aims to further the interests of the diplomatic community in Guyana including by providing a forum for its members to discuss issues of shared interest. The Corps meets at a monthly luncheon which is sponsored by a participating mission / international organization (please see “Events” for a schedule of the monthly lunches).

The current Dean of the Corps in Guyana is His Excellency Nikolay Smirnov, Ambassador of the Russian Federation and the Treasurer is Dane Gobin, Chief Executive Officer of the Iwokrama International Centre.
